In order to guarantee efficient fire precautions, breakglass units (manual alarm switch
or push button) are required in addition to automatic detectors, for activation of smoke
and heat ventilation systems. The breakglass unit's housing is manufactured under the
terms of the DIN 14655 standard. All switches and indicators are placed
under a thin breakglass.

The optical smoke detector is a very rapidly reacting detector which operates according to
the light dispersion principle (in cases of fire, smokeenter a chamber which is closed to
external light. The smoke reflects the light from an LED onto a photo diode.) The advantage
of this is the rapid detection of smoke and conflagration gases.

A measuring station which recognizes the beginning of rain or snow fall and wind. It
enables motor driven windows, sunblinds or ventilation units to be closed, by
transmitting a signal. As open skylights or dome lights must be closed reliably
when it rains, this measuring station has to meet the highest possible requirements,
365 days a year. It consists of a wind sensor, rain sensor and wall bracket and requires
the Wind and Rain Slot WR71 or WR 70 (depending on the control unit version).
